About

Carlos’s portfolio of work is grounded in research and empathy to provide tailored experiences. They graduated from the UIC School of Design with a Bachelor of Design (BDes) in graphic design and studio art minor.

Over the course of Carlos’s formal design training, they developed technical competencies in print and digital media production; coupled with an exploration of conceptual art and product development.

In 2015, they worked with the UIC College of Business Administration as a marketing production assistant creating digital media for new program offerings and faculty spotlights.

For their undergraduate thesis, Carlos explored designers’ role in social responsibility by creating public service announcements to foster conversation on the opioid epidemic plaguing the United States.
